Tell Your Member of Congress to Fund Lifesaving Bladder Cancer Research

Bladder cancer patients and loved ones need your help now!

Congress has the power to fund lifesaving bladder cancer research, but they need to hear from you.  As part of our urgent mission to save lives, the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network is calling for increased bladder cancer research funding from the federal government this year.  But we need your help before March 9th, 2020.

BCAN is asking each of our supporters to contact their Member of Congress and ask them to cosponsor Rep. Julia Brownley’s appropriations letter providing for $10 million in bladder cancer research funding within the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP).  The more supporters in Congress we get, the better and more likely bladder cancer research will be funded at that level. .

How can you help?  It’s easy.  Call, email, or do both.

Julia Brownley’s appropriations letter providing for $10 million in federal funding for bladder cancer research, within the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP).

As your constituent, and a supporter of the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN), I am writing to ask that you sign onto Rep. Julia Brownley’s appropriations letter providing for $10 million in federal funding for bladder cancer research, within the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP).

Bladder cancer is the 7th most frequently diagnosed cancer, but is currently ranked 24th in federal research funding. The research funded by the CDMRP plays a critical role in bridging that gap while advancing critical bladder cancer research that may one day lead to the cure that will save hundreds of thousands of lives.

I urge you to sign onto Rep. Brownley’s appropriations letter and do all that you can to secure $10 million in federal funding for bladder cancer research.

More research funding means more lives saved.
