This Bladder Cancer Awareness Month, we’re shining a light on those in the bladder cancer community who go the extra mile to make an impact and inspire hope.
What is the Beacon of Hope award?
For the first time ever, BCAN will honor a community-nominated “Beacon of Hope” in someone’s bladder cancer journey. During Bladder Cancer Awareness Month in May, we’re shining a light on those in the bladder cancer community who go the extra mile to make an impact and inspire hope. We are asking people to nominate someone who is their “Beacon of Hope.” The winner will be announced during the May 26, 2021 Ask the Experts event.
Who can you nominate?
You can nominate someone special who has had a major, positive impact on you or the larger bladder cancer community. This person could be a family member, a doctor or a nurse, or even a coworker, care specialist, or researcher.
Here’s how to nominate your Beacon:
- Register to Walk!
Only individuals who register for the Virtual Walk to End Bladder Cancer can nominate an individual for the Beacon of Hope award.
- Tell us more about your Beacon by filling out the form below.
We can’t wait to hear how your Beacon impacts your life.
Submissions will be open through April 16, and finalists will be announced during our Virtual Walk to End Bladder Cancer on May 1!
To determine a winner, we invite friends, family and the public to vote for our finalists throughout Bladder Cancer Awareness Month. The finalist with the most votes will be recognized during our special Ask the Experts event.
