Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network Sends Best Wishes to NBA Great Bob Lanier

The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network, or BCAN, sends its well wishes to NBA great Bob Lanier, who is battling bladder cancer.   Mr. Lanier played for the Detroit Pistons and Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association. and was  inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1992.

Mr. Lanier recently attended a St. Bonaventure basketball game in which their 50th anniversary, 1970 Final Four team was honored.

“We send positive thoughts to Mr. Lanier as he continues his bladder cancer journey,” said Andrea Maddox-Smith, CEO of the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network.  “Bladder cancer is the sixth-most frequently diagnosed cancer in the U.S., and impacts athletes and educators, bricklayers and bookkeepers.  This disease does not discriminate.”
