Rahul Raj Singh’s drive to understand cancer began with the loss of several close family members. Today, that personal motivation is fueling research that could help address one of the biggest challenges in advanced bladder cancer: treatment resistance. Singh, a postdoctoral research fellow at Weill Cornell Medicine, recently received BCAN’s Young Investigator Award for his work exploring targeted protein degradation, an innovative approach designed to eliminate proteins that help cancer cells resist treatment.
