Advancing New Possibilities for People Living with NMIBC

At enGene, we are focused on developing a new and innovative approach for people living with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC), particularly those facing limited treatment options and difficult decisions about their care.

Detalimogene voraplasmid, our lead investigational therapy, is being studied in the ongoing LEGEND clinical trial program for patients with NMIBC. We are committed to advancing research that has the potential to preserve quality of life while addressing the significant unmet needs that continue to exist across bladder cancer care. Detalimogene voraplasmid is being evaluated as a potential bladder-sparing treatment option and utilizes DDX®, our proprietary non-viral gene delivery platform.

How Does Detalimogene Voraplasmid Work?

Detalimogene voraplasmid is an investigational, non-viral gene therapy designed for intravesical delivery into the bladder. Once instilled into the bladder, detalimogene voraplasmid activates the immune system locally to kill cancer cells. It is currently being evaluated in the LEGEND clinical trial program.

The LEGEND Clinical Trial Program

LEGEND is an ongoing, multi-cohort and sub-study trial evaluating detalimogene voraplasmid in various NMIBC patient populations. The program includes a cohort in patients with high-risk, BCG-unresponsive NMIBC with carcinoma in situ (CIS), which will serve as the basis for a Biologics License Application with the FDA, as well as additional cohorts evaluating broader populations. A new sub-study in BCG-unresponsive NMIBC with CIS that is evaluating a 5-minute bladder rinse prior to instilling detalimogene voraplasmid recently opened for enrollment.

The ongoing development of the LEGEND program reflects enGene’s commitment to understanding how investigational therapies may serve different NMIBC patient needs and treatment settings.
