Aliya Rahman

Communications and Marketing Manager

Aliya Rahman is the Communications and Marketing Manager for the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN). In this role, she supports BCAN’s communications and marketing efforts, helping to develop, refine, and project BCAN’s voice to its target audiences via email, website content, social media, podcasts, videos, and in-person events.

Aliya brings a strong background in nonprofit and health communications, most recently serving at Challenger Center, where she produced digital content, managed social media, created email and web content, produced video and graphics, and translated complex scientific information into engaging, easy-to-understand stories. She also previously held internships at the National Institutes of Health, including the National Institute of Mental Health and the National Library of Medicine, where she created health communications content and supported public education initiatives.

Aliya earned her B.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland, College Park.
