Christiana Evers

Christiana Evers is Vice President of Mission Programs at the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network. In this role, she leads the organization’s education, patient engagement, community engagement, advocacy and broader mission-related program portfolio. She oversees the development and delivery of innovative, patient-centered and evidence-informed programs aligned with BCAN’s strategic priorities and focused on creating meaningful impact for people impacted by bladder cancer.

Christiana has more than 30 years of experience leading national initiatives in education, patient engagement, health communications, community outreach, participatory grantmaking and advocacy. She has designed and scaled innovative programs that have engaged millions of patients, care partners, healthcare professionals and community stakeholders across complex healthcare landscapes, including Parkinson’s disease, breast cancer and HIV/AIDS. Throughout her career, Christiana has been committed to building programs and partnerships that amplify the voices of people affected by disease, expand access to trusted information and support and translate organizational strategy into meaningful impact for patients, families and communities.

Prior to joining BCAN, Christiana spent more than 22 years at the Parkinson’s Foundation, most recently serving as Chief Community Engagement Officer. In this role, she led the national strategy and execution of community engagement activities and services, including national and community-based education programs, community grantmaking and patient engagement initiatives.

Christiana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross and a Master of Public Administration in Public Policy and Nonprofit Management from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
