Lynn Hacker

National Walk Director

Lynn Hacker brings over 25 years of peer-to-peer fundraising experience to her job as National Walk Director.  She has worked at both the local chapter and national levels of several large non-profits, most recently at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  In her 16 years at CFF, Lynn directed a $25M Walk program nation-wide.

Lynn believes in both high tech and high touch approaches to fundraising success.  High tech approaches include analyzing data, identifying giving trends, segmenting walkers based on behavior and adapting strategies based on metrics.  Lynn’s favorite high touch method of fundraising is talking to people!  Data can only tell you so much and listening to participants’ experiences and talking to them about their hopes for the walk event are critical to fundraising success.

Lynn has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Elizabethtown College and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.  She lives in Laurel, MD with her husband and two teenage children.  She volunteers at her children’s high school and enjoys spending time with her cats.
