Meri-Margaret Deoudes brings more than 25 years of transformative leadership in the nonprofit sector to her role as CEO of the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN). She has a proven track record of guiding nonprofit organizations through strategic growth, forging impactful corporate alliances, and designing innovative programs that engage patients and caregivers, medical professionals, volunteers, and staff.

As CEO of BCAN, Meri-Margaret combines her passion for change with her talent for fostering meaningful collaborations in the nonprofit sector to help create better todays and more tomorrows for bladder cancer patients and their loved ones. She leads the organization with a personal commitment to teamwork, innovation, and impact, ensuring BCAN expands its role as a trusted and vital resource for the bladder cancer community.

With extensive experience in forging corporate alliances, orchestrating high-profile events, and developing innovative volunteer and employee engagement programs, Meri-Margaret has made significant contributions to some of the nation’s leading health-focused nonprofit organizations, including the March of Dimes and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Her deep commitment to patient-centered organizations and her passion for advancing meaningful causes led her to serve as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Parkinson’s Foundation. There, she played an instrumental role in operationalizing the foundation’s mission and vision, ensuring sustained impact and growth.

As an experienced CEO, Meri-Margaret has successfully led two national environmental nonprofits, crafting effective strategic plans, improving programs, and delivering strong outcomes. She is known for building meaningful partnerships with volunteers, members, and communities while leading productive, high-performing teams.

Meri-Margaret holds a bachelor’s degree from George Washington University. She earned a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and a Blue Belt in Innovation Engineering certification. Outside of her professional accomplishments, she is an avid reader, runner, gardener, and enjoys cooking and entertaining family and friends.
