Nicole García-Quijano

Senior Manager, Education and Clinical Engagement

Nicole García-Quijano is a strategic bilingual (English/Spanish) health communications professional with more than 17 years of experience developing audience-focused messaging and leading public health communication programs across state, nonprofit, private-sector, and federal settings. Most recently, she served at the National Institutes of Health.

Her areas of expertise include health communications, materials design and development, plain-language writing, stakeholder outreach and engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and medicine.

Trained as a physician, Nicole studied medicine at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus. She then earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) and completed a General Preventive Medicine Residency at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Outside of work, Nicole enjoys cooking (and eating!) and spending time with her husband and their two pugs.
