Patrick Deavy

Vice President, Strategy and Operations

Patrick Deavy is a senior nonprofit executive with over two decades of experience leading strategy, operations, and organizational development to advance mission-driven impact. Before coming to the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network, he served as Vice President of Organizational Development at the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF), where he led multi-year strategic planning efforts, strengthened internal processes, and drove measurable improvements in organizational performance and culture. At NEEF, Patrick stewarded the strategic plan to successful completion, enhanced accountability and staff engagement, and increased operational efficiency.

Throughout his 20+ year tenure at NEEF, Patrick held progressively senior roles, spearheading initiatives in grantmaking, legal oversight, performance management, and systems improvement. His work included managing $2.5 million in philanthropic grants, developing internal tools like Salesforce to boost fundraising and data capabilities, and guiding the organization through structural and operational growth.

Patrick brings deep expertise in coaching, strategy development, financial and legal oversight, personnel management, meeting facilitation, and process improvement. He is known for his thoughtful, systems-minded approach to leadership and his ability to support executive teams, boards, and staff through periods of change and growth.

He holds an MBA from the University of Cincinnati, a Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate from Georgetown University, and a BFA in Theater from Northern Kentucky University. He lives in Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area with his wife, two sons, and a diva dog.
