Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer: Bladder Preservation

Advancements in modern therapies have focused on finding ways to effectively treat muscle-invasive bladder cancer while preserving the bladder, thus advancing the patient’s quality of life. This is accomplished through a combined approach involving surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. Known as modern Combined Modality Therapy (CMT) or bladder preservation, this approach aims to eradicate the cancer while enabling the patient to keep his or her bladder.
