Cheryl Taylore Lee, MD, FACS

Dr. Lee is Chair, Department of Urology, Dorothy M. Davis Chair in Cancer Research at The Ohio State University. Dr. Lee served as a Professor of Urology at the University of Michigan where she was the Robert and Eva Moyad Professor of Urology. She is dedicated to improving the care of bladder cancer patients through advocacy, education and research. She has served as Chairman of the Bladder Cancer Think Tank and President of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN). She currently pursues improvements for patient care and survivorship through her role as Chairman of the Outreach Committee of the Society of Urologic Oncology.  She is a member of the Board of Directors of BCAN and of the regional division of the American Cancer Society. Through her role as a member of the Education Council of the AUA, she is active in the education of urologists and urologic trainees. She directs an education workshop for trainees and a postgraduate course at the annual meeting of the AUA. She has served on the AUA Curriculum Committee, the AUA Program Committee, ABU/AUA Examination Committee and is a faculty participant in two national courses.  She is committed to health equity and has served as President of the National Medical Association R. Frank Jones Urological Society. Her main research interest is the improvement of quality of life and surgical outcomes for bladder cancer patients. She recently completed a study evaluating the impairments experienced by bladder cancer patients after radical surgery.
