Steve Riggs, MD, FACS

Dr. Steve Riggs is currently an Associate Professor within the Division of Urology, Surgical Care Division and Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte, N.C. He completed his Oncology fellowship in 2008 at the University of California Los Angles Medical Center. Following this he accepted an appointment to the Department of Urology, Eastern Virginia Medical Center before relocating to Charlotte. He has an active clinical practice in Urologic Oncology that includes a strong interest in writing and conducting clinical trials. He also has an avid interest in clinical and collaborative translational research. He is director of the institutes’ Cancer conferences, Urologic Oncology fellowship and site director for the Urology resident training that occurs in Charlotte. He has authored or co-authored multiple peer-reviewed manuscripts, editorials and invited articles in addition to serving in local and national leadership roles within the field of Urologic Oncology.
