Duncan Alexander

Duncan Alexander has been a leader in the business community and brings valued expertise to the Board in addition to his history of giving back through philanthropic activities.

Mr. Alexander, a Vietnam veteran, has served as the President of American Live Stock Insurance Company as well as Harding and Harding. At their peak, these companies operated in all fifty states as well as Australia and South Africa.  These experiences led to extensive involvement with medical research and scholarships at veterinary schools.  In addition, during this time, he became involved in ranching operations in the Rockies, as well as the breeding and racing of horses. The insurance companies were sold to Hiscox, a major global insurer, in 2007.

Additionally, Mr. Alexander’s philanthropic activities have involved serving with the American Association of Equine Practitioners, McGraw Wildlife, and the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley.
