Emeritus Member | Walter Stadler, MD, FACP

Dr. Stadler received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and his M.D. from Yale University School of Medicine. He received postgraduate training at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center as well as the University of Chicago.  He serves as director of the Genitourinary Oncology Program that focuses on novel therapeutic approaches to genitourinary malignancies as well as clinical applications of molecular prognostic and predictive markers for these diseases.  He also serves as chair of the Clinical Trials Review Committee for the University of Chicago Cancer Research Center and is cadre leader for renal cell cancer efforts in the Genitourinary Committee of the Cancer and Leukemia Group B (CALGB).  He has over 80 peer-reviewed publications, and is the principal investigator on a variety of bladder, kidney, and prostate investigative protocols.  He is an active member of a number of cancer and urology related societies including American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Urology Association, American Association for Cancer Research, Society of Urologic Oncology, and Society for Basic Urologic Research.  His work has been supported by various agencies and societies including the American Cancer Society, and the National Institute of Health.
