BCAN Welcomes Mick Tuesley to Its Board of Directors

(November 17, 2021 – Bethesda, MD) Today, the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN) announced that Malcolm “Mick” Tuesley has been elected to its Board of Directors

“I am excited to have Mick bring his energy, enthusiasm and deep experience to the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network,” said Andrea Maddox-Smith, BCAN’s CEO.

Mr. Tuesley is the head of the National Security Regulatory Practice at the global law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. He has significant experience representing clients in national security reviews before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States and has been involved with negotiating national security agreements for some of the largest and most complex transactions in the defense, energy, financial services, telecommunications and technology industries.

“I’m honored to be part of the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network. I’ve been fortunate to know both of the BCAN’s co-founders, John and Diane Quale, for many years and have been inspired by Diane carrying on John’s legacy after his passing.  I look forward to contributing to the important work of the organization in this new role,” said Mr. Tuesley.

Mick’s appointment is effective immediately.

The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network’s (BCAN’s) mission is to increase public awareness about bladder cancer, advance bladder cancer research and, provide educational and support services for the bladder cancer community.
