The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN) is a community of patients, caregivers, survivors, advocates, medical and research professionals united in support of people impacted by bladder cancer.

Having bladder cancer can be a lonely experience. Reading the words of others who have “been there, done that” can help people feel less alone. We created our Bladder Cancer Stories section to enable patients and caregivers to tell their own stories of what it’s like to live with or love someone with this terrible disease. We hope you find comfort in these stories.

  • Read Gabrielle’s Pregnancy Saved Her Life

  • Read Timothy’s Story: “I knew if I stood up at that moment, I was going to pass out”

  • Read Dean’s Story

  • Read Bonnie’s Story: “The greatest stress during all this time is not knowing how things will turn out.”

  • Read Jon’s Story: “I encourage folks to do their own research.”

  • Read Frank’s Story: “We are not alone in this battle.”
