What BCAN’s Think Tank Is

Coming up on our 15th year, the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network’s Think Tank is the premier bladder cancer meeting in North America. This gathering of leading clinicians and researchers provides a collaborative setting to identify and overcome obstacles while creating create solutions in bladder cancer research and treatment.

The 2019 Think Tank at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C. The 300-person conference was the largest in BCAN’s 14-year history.

Think Tank facilitates discussions that help define priorities for advancing bladder cancer research, including all parts of the patient and caregiver journey, from diagnosis to treatment to survivorship.  Meeting attendees include leading urologists, oncologists, researchers, pathologists, social scientists, patient advocates and industry representatives, all who are dedicated to improving the diagnosis and treatment and survivorship of bladder cancer.

Think Tank provides a place for bright minds in the bladder cancer field to collaborate and advance innovative bladder cancer research. It fosters and enables new collaborations, projects and grant submissions, and also provides a venue to share progress on existing projects, as well as a place to connect colleagues, furthering a collaborative spirit.

2019 Think Tank

2019’s program includes sessions focused on a diverse set of themes including bladder cancer palliative care, immunotherapy, bladder preservation, patient-driven endpoints and toxicity thresholds, regulatory science, genomic insights and biomarkers, computational biology and much more.
