Walking Through a New Bladder Cancer Diagnosis

Each year, over 80,000 Americans are diagnosed with bladder cancer.   Roughly 75% of bladder cancers are non-muscle invasive.  For the newly diagnosed with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer, many questions come to mind as they navigate their treatment journey. Dr. Ava Saidian, a board-certified urologic oncologist at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, will walk recently diagnosed through a typical first year of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) journey.  From understanding possible risk factors that may have contributed to a bladder cancer diagnosis to what your first treatments will look like, Dr. Saidian will explain what you should understand about your diagnosis and what questions to ask so you can be your best health advocate.
